02/23/2009 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Connecticut Huskies remained atop the Associated Press women's college basketball poll for a 13th straight week, while the Tennessee Lady Vols fell to their lowest ranking in almost a quarter-century.
Connecticut (27-0) played in its closest game of the season, a 77-66 win over Notre Dame on Sunday, and remained the unanimous choice for No. 1 by receiving all 44 first-place votes.
Tennessee (19-8) had an uncharacteristic week, losing two straight games to Duke and Kentucky before beating Mississippi State on Sunday. The losses dropped the Lady Vols to No. 18, their lowest ranking since February 24, 1985.
Oklahoma (24-2) remained a unanimous No. 2, while Stanford (22-4) moved up a spot to third. California (22-3) went from sixth to fourth after wins over Oregon and Oregon State.
Maryland (23-4) rose four spots to No. 5, while Baylor and Auburn fell to sixth and seventh, respectively, after each suffered a loss last week.
Auburn dropped a 73-70 decision at now-No. 19 Vanderbilt last Thursday, while Baylor fell to the Lady Sooners, 66-58, on Saturday.
Louisville, North Carolina and Duke round out the top 10.
Spots 11 through 15 are held by Florida State, Texas A&M, Xavier, Ohio State and Pittsburgh, which was 19th in last week's poll. The next five spots go to Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Kansas State, respectively.
South Dakota State moved up a spot to 21 and is followed by Virginia and Notre Dame. Arizona State came in at 24th, and Iowa State fell four spots to 25th.
There were no newcomers to this week's poll.

Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Odds
Will he or won't he? Now that the Dallas Cowboys have a new head coach in Wade Phillips, the big question will be: Does Terrell Owens stay with the team.
Jerry Jones continues to suggest that Terrell Owens will remain with the team.
"I've said that he's back, he's here, he's under contract," Jones said. "In the interviews I've just been through (to hire a new coach), it was very clear to me how highly he's thought of and how much of an impact he had on our offensive success."
Just to be sure though, Terrell Owens cleared out his locker and removed his name plate.
Terrell Owens was among the Cowboys most productive players this past season, catching 85 passes for 1,180 yards and a league-best 13 touchdowns.
But T.O. is due a $3 million roster bonus in June, then a $5 million salary this season. Cutting him before then would save a lot of money and headaches.
Aside from the questions surrounding Terrell Owens, the oddsmakers at MySportsbook.com have concerns over starting quarterback Tony Romo's state of mind and whether he will remain a starting quarterback. It is also not known how players will adjust to new head coach, Wade Phillips.
Here are the football odds as seen at MySportsbook.com and subject to change after February 10, 2007 if not locked in prior to that date.
